Consists of a letter from Thomas Baker Brown to his mother from France. He writes about gathering together food supplies from 'rations left by some Indian Troops' and new potatoes left by German soldiers. He also comments on not being able to see his brother George until he gets out of the line, and on a friend of his who is wounded.
