History
Olive Senior was born and brought up in Jamaica. She has worked in journalism in Jamaica and Canada, and divides her time between the two countries. She is currently Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at St Lawrence University, USA. Her first book of poems, Talking of Trees, was published by Calabash in Jamaica.
