This document represents a summary of responses to the public consultation on Responsible Officers and their Duties Relating to the Medical Profession, which closed on 24 October 2008. It sets out the Department of Health’s own formal response to the consultation as well as proposals as a result of subsequent meetings and discussions with stakeholders.
