St Aidan's Church, South Shields, Tyne and Wear.

Leonard Evetts' project file relating to the design and execution of the East Window, St Aidan's Church, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, installed in 1951.

The main file contains detailed designs and photographs and a 1951 service of dedication booklet. There is also a large design for a proposed cross for the aisle alter, housed separately due to its size.

The church was demolished in 2000 but the East Window was moved to St Stephen's, South Shields.

St Agatha's Church, Sparkbrook, Birmingham.

Leonard Evetts' project file relating to St. Agatha, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, installed 1961. The window depicts scenes from the Book of Revelations (The Apocalypse), replacing a window destroyed in World War II.

The file contains detailed designs, commission correspondence, a photograph of the completed window. There are also two large design layouts, housed separately due to their size.

Spennymoor Settlement

Consists of material relating to Sid's involvement with the Spennymoor Settlement, a community association set up in 1930 to give it's members opportunities to widen thier knowledge and interest.

Consists mainly of letters to Robert Spence Watson. Topics include, but are not limited to, British politics and the Liberal party, contemporary Europe, Armstrong College (later Newcastle University), the Peace Society, lectures at the Literary and Philosophical Society of Newcastle upon Tyne, and contemporary literary and scientific achievements. Other regular recipients of letters include Elizabeth Spence Watson, Frederick Weiss, and Charles Prestwich Scott.

The Spence Watson's wide-ranging public activism, make their correspondence a valuable source of opinions on the social and political matters of the day from a wide range of prominent persons.

The Robert Spence Watson Collection is a collection of 500 volumes on the subject of English literature, consisting largely of the publications of literary societies such as the Shakespeare Society, the Spenser Society, the Ballad Society and the Chaucer Society, presented to the Library in 1908 by Robert Spence Watson, who was also one of the founders of the Durham College of Physical Science, and President of Armstrong College.
