This christmas card message is dated 1971, but was filed with Sir Terry Farrell's undergraduate work. The original painting has therefore been presumed to date 1956-1961.
It is possible that this is a painting of The Arches at Newcastle University, dating from the late 1950s and featuring buildings on either side of the arches which have since been demolished.
