Manuscript notes for a speech given at the third northern provincial conference of The Magistrates' Association with printed programme, a speech [possibly] given to the People's Theatre, and a speech on politics.
Government booklets relating to the outbreak of World War I
Includes: Miscellaneous Number 6 (1914), entitled 'Correspondence Respecting the European Crisis', presented to both Houses of Parliament August 1914. Miscellaneous Number 10 (1914), entitled 'Despatch from His Majesty's Ambassador at Vienna Respecting the Rupture of Diplomatic Relations with the Austro-Hungarian Government', presented to both Houses of Parliament September 1914.
Both items are printed by HMSO, and feature annotations in Charles' hand.

Comic pamphlets, notes and other writings by Charles
Includes copies of a pamphlet entitled Simple Sequels to Serious Scenes which gives comic outcomes to events in history, a transcript of a radio programme on David Lloyd George in which Charles took part, a statement on Charles' religious beliefs with particular reference to the afterlife, an obituary for Edward Keith (head gardener at Wallington), and a selection of poems, songs and other writings including some written for his children, and a poem on tourism in Russia.
Papers on the size of fighting ships
Includes a typescript copy of a paper by Herbert William Richmond and a bound copy of articles in response by unknown authors, with annotations in Richmond's hand, addressed to Charles.
