Correspondence

Consists of correspondence sent to and from the Brown family during World War I. Includes letters and fields cards sent home from Thomas Baker Brown while he served as a soldier and was taken Prisoner of War, as well as from his brother George, and his cousin Archibald Douglas Mason who died from wounds in France. Also includes correspondence between the Brown family and official bodies when Thomas Baker Brown's father searched for his son who had been reported missing.

Commemorative Events

Consists of correspondence, menus, programmes and photographs relating to a variety of events which commemorated World War I, including reunion dinners and a 'Jubilee Tribute'.

Biographical Notes

Includes a document on Thomas Baker Brown's retirement as Chief Clerk in the Town Clerk's Department of Newcastle upon Tyne, and notes, presumably collected by Brown, on his family history.
