Draft letter regarding quantity of bonfires.
Consists of a draft letter to members of the University and RVI considering the formulation of a surgical society.
Draft letters written on scrap paper and generic letters sent to Pybus. The subjects of these letters are quite wide ranging including Pybus' career, his cancer research, allotment fires, Pybus' mice contaminated with soot, the Clean Air Act, smoke pollution and media communication. Some letters do not have recipient names and some were not sent - as noted by Pybus.

Letter regarding smoke from bonfires and a report of Pybus' experience of these on a single day.
Draft letters concerning garden bonfires and the effect on public health over looked by the Clean Air Act. Pybus took a reporter on a tour and found 47 fires in one hour within 1 square mile. He goes on to explain these are more harmful than cigarette smoke and the benzpyrene content citing Professor J Weiss (King's College). The notes are information from the tour with the reporter.
