Consists of an annotated copy of "Fumifugium", information about the exhibition related to the Royal Victoria Infirmary library, on loan from Durham University Library (Newcastle University). Notes focus on John Evelyn and clean air. These notes are written on letters from various associations and one concerning chimney sweeps.

This family tree includes Pybus' and the Ireland family, letters are included.

Various articles and annual reports from the tobacco manufacturing standing committee and South Western Regional Cancer Records Bureau, medical journals articles on cancer, the clean air act pamphlet and "Smoking - the cancer controversy" by Roy Fisher. Also included is an American article on clean air policy.

Contains various articles from the Tobacco Research Council, The Ecologist, British Medical Journal, New Scientist, and the Daily Telegraph, included is Geoffrey Dean's study on lung cancer among white South Africans, an article on bone grafts. There are also articles on cancer research on mice and the use of clean air in exposure treatment of burns. Included is a compilation of selected air pollution emission control regulations and ordinances from the American Public Health Service.

Various articles from medical journals - including Percy Stock's figures, the smoke abatement society and the Town Moor committee in Newcastle concerning lung cancer and burning of materials and hereditary cancer.

Papers accumulated and created by John Potter, a former colleague of Pybus' at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Included is a paper on Pybus' career written in his 90th year, photocopies of documents created by Pybus (predominantly lecture notes on cancer), photocopies of obituary notices for Pybus and a typescript obituary by F. W. Ratcliffe.

Consists of notes detailing specific tumours, drawings and analysis and experiments including "Tar-Painting Experiment". Included is a black and white photograph of a rat with a tumour and also a paper on the growth of mouse carcinoma in vitro.
