Election ephemera and telegrams from political campaigns

Mostly comprises telegrams of congratulations on Charles becoming Liberal Member of Parliament for the Elland constituency in 1899.
Also includes a ticket of admittance to the 1892 Newcastle election, a flyer from Charles' unsuccessful 1896 campaign in North Lambeth and a photograph of the votes being announced in Elland in 1899.

Election scrapbook

Includes a pair of Charles' gloves 'as they appeared after shaking hands with the supporters at close of poll', cuttings from newspapers, election ephemera and speech notes. The front of the album features an embossed floral motif.
