Part of Farrell (Sir Terry) Archive
Relating to the Farrell and Grimshaw Partnership. In 1965 architects Terry Farrell and Nicholas Grimshaw began a fifteen year partnership, separating in 1980 to both start their own practices. Based in London, and both newly graduated, they undertook a number of housing and industrial projects, including 125 Park Road – one of the first blocks in the UK funded and built on the co-ownership principle; a student housing project with a distinctive spiralling staircase near Paddington; and the Herman Miller Factory in Bath.
The files in this series are a small collection of files, retained by Sir Terry Farrell at the breakup of the Farrell Grimshaw Partnership, relating to the practice and some of the projects undertaken.
