Herbert Loebl received various awards during his lifetime and his personal collection includes photographs, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, and letters of congratulations regarding his many honours.

Loebl's personal papers also contain various items of ephemera relating to his life and early escape from Nazi Germany and a large collection of annotated scrapbooks spanning the years c.1900 - 2012. The scrapbooks contain photographs, ephemera from events, letters, newspaper clippings and other personal items. They cover a large range of topics including family events and interests, local events in Newcastle upon Tyne and Northumbria, events within the local Jewish community, vists to Herbert Loebl's hometown of Bamberg in Germany, Herbert Loebl's many awards and achievments and items relating to the many local organisations with which Herbert Loebl was involved during his lifetime.
