From GOT to his wife Caroline (Carry); 4 (undated) mentions the Scotch Police Bill, cited in 5 too (together with W.H. Smith, leader of the House of Commons). The bill (n. 392) will be discussed on August, 5th, and will be the only Bill about Scotland passed on that session (8-9 are dated 04/05.08.1890). 10 is sent from Glasgow's Highland Steamers, Steamship Glencoe, and dated 23.09.1890, written after a trip to Oban with Mr. Armstrong, Liberal Agent for Scotland from Stirling. 13 was sent from Stornoway (Hebrides) and mentions Lord Ashburn; 15 is the second half of 14 and comes from Novar, Ross-Shire; mentions Monro Ferguson, 1st Viscount of Novar. 16-17 and 19-20 are from Wallington, Northumberland and 18 from Pendleton.
