Letter dated 22 April 1870 written at the Salmon Fisheries Office, 4 Old Palace Yard, Westminster to Mr Silver. Buckland writes to accept an invitation to dine at the Junior Athenaeum club. Annexed to the letter is a print of an engraving of 'the late Mr. Frank Buckland ""at home""' showing Buckland with two caged monkeys. Made from a photograph by S. A. Walker, this page has been torn from an unknown publication. The person to whom the letter is addressed may be Stephen William Silver (1817-1905), owner of the York Gate Geographical and Colonial Library.
